About Caitlin Caitlin started her safety career as a designated first aid attendant working on various residential construction sites throughout the Lower Mainland. With a keen eye for detail and organization, she soon gained recognition as a leader in workplace safety.
Caitlin then expanded into civil construction as an official safety coordinator. Working in several high-risk industries including excavation, pipe-laying, roadwork, hydro, utilities, railway and demolition. After obtaining her official CSO Title through BCIT’s Construction Safety Officer training, Caitlin continued to learn about hazard recognition, accident prevention and how to create a safe work culture. Her experience in deep excavation and safety then led her to work as a Safety Officer with the Archaeology branch for the local Katzie First Nation, also known as KDLP.
Caitlin is now the Corporate Safety Officer for Katzie Development Corporation, and a self proclaimed “Safety Nerd”.
As a former Early Childhood Educator, Art Instructor, Behavioural Interventionist and Respite Worker Caitlin has always had a passion for helping others. She enjoys making learning fun and engaging for everyone.
